B.S. in Speech Communication (Minor in Business Administration) from Minnesota State University, Mankato

Statement of Service:

After completing his degree, Roger joined the Army and was trained as a Russian linguist. Over the years, he completed the Basic and Intermediate Russian courses at the Defense Language Institute, served as an instructor at the U.S. Army Intelligence School, and graduated from the Military Linguist Program at the National Security Agency / National Cryptologic School, Ft. Meade, MD. One of his major accomplishments in the military was working with a task force to train Kuwaiti expatriates to augment US intelligence forces.

After the military, Roger was employed in the Nuclear Security field. He served as a Shift Captain at the Prairie Island Nuclear Plant. He supervised plant security and tactical defensive response. He also played an integral part in the design & implementation of 9/11 security measures.

Though not necessarily related to finance, these positions developed Roger's skills and abilities in working with fast-paced federally regulated work environments that demanded excellent computer skills, multi-tasking and attention to detail. Since moving to State College, Roger has honed those skills working at premier organizations in the area like Penn State University, HigherEdJobs.com, AccuWeather, Strawberry Fields and, of course, Abundance Wealth Counselors, LLC.

Roger has been employed with Abundance Wealth Counselors, LLC since November 2004. He works in the Wealth Administration Department, focusing primarily on New Business and Transfer of Assets.
